Will Gonzalez, Esq., Executive Director of Ceiba - BA, Economics, Lehigh University; JD, Rutgers University. He has over 30 years of experience working in the Latino community. The Philadelphia Foundation's Williams Award for Organizational Excellence and the Community Change Award from the Bread & Roses Community Fund recognized his leadership of non-profits in the 1990's. Mr. Gonzalez has received various community awards, among them: 1996 F. Sean Perretta Service Award, Young Lawyers Division - Philadelphia Bar Association; 1997 Most Courageous Latino of the Year Award, Delaware Valley Voter & Education Project; 1997 Civil Rights Award, Governor's Advisory Commission on Latino Affairs; 1998 Honoree, Hispanic Bar Association's Legal Education Fund Banquet; 2000 Lifetime Mentor Award, Temple Law School's Latin American Law Student Association; 2000 Honoree, Public Interest Law Center's 25th Anniversary Celebration; 2005 Citizen of the Year, Philadelphia's Puerto Rican Parade Committee; 2008 Advocacy Award, Friends of Farmworkers; 2012 Minority Business Leader, Philadelphia Business Journal; 2014 Eagles NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award; and 2015 Most Influential Latinos in Philadelphia Award - Impacto Newspaper. He is licensed to practice law in NJ and PA. He is the Past President of the Hispanic Bar Association of PA and a member of the board of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the ACLU. He has traveled extensively in Latin America and has vast experience as a radio host and newspaper columnist. 


Diego Tapia, Program Director, is a native of Ecuador and studied Business Administration at the National University of Loja. He is a notary and a certified housing counselor with training in credit counseling, foreclosure intervention, and IDA programs. He was the recipient of the NeighborWorks National Foreclosure Mitigation Counseling Program Counselor Award in 2012. Diego is Ceiba's VITA tax site manager. He is a certified VITA tax preparer and a Certified Application Counselor for the Affordable Care Act. 





Eve Guzman, Program Coordinator, has a degree in Spanish and Linguistics from Temple University and is persuing a Masters Degree in Education. She helps coordinate Ceiba's comprehensive asset building program, including managing the flow of clients through Ceiba's tax sites and connecting those clients to income support programs. Eve conducts Ceiba's weekly ITIN orientation workshops and helps with the coordination of Ceiba volunteers. She is a Certified Application Counselor for the Affordable Care Act. 




Lindsey Benitz, Operations Director, has a degree in Spanish from Smith College. She provides logistical support to Ceiba's staff and programs. She is a certified housing counselor trained in pre-purchase and foreclosure mitigation and IDA matched savings programs. She is an advocate for language access and the rights of the limited English proficient and served as the co-chair of the Language Access Committee of the Pennsylvania Immigration and Citizenship Coalition. She is a certified VITA tax preparer and an IRS ITIN Certifying Acceptance Agent.
