Will Gonzalez, Esq., Executive Director of Ceiba - He has over 35 years of experience working in the Latino community. The Philadelphia Foundation's Williams Award for Organizational Excellence & The Community Change Award from the Bread & Roses Community Fund recognized his leadership of non-profits. Mr. Gonzalez has received various community awards, among them a Lifetime Achievement Award from The Legal Intelligencer, PA's premier legal publication. He is licensed to practice law in NJ and PA. He is the Past President of the Hispanic Bar Association of PA and a member of the board of the PA Chapter of the ACLU. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, from Lehigh University and a Juris Doctor, from Rutgers University School of Law where he was awarded the Ralph Bunch Fellowship and the Law Students Civil Rights Research Council Fellowship. He has traveled extensively in Latin America and has vast experience as a radio host and newspaper columnist. 

 

Diego Tapia, Program Director, is a native of Ecuador and studied Business Administration at the National University of Loja. He is a notary and a certified housing counselor with training in credit counseling, foreclosure intervention, and IDA programs. He was the recipient of the NeighborWorks National Foreclosure Mitigation Counseling Program Counselor Award in 2012. Diego is Ceiba's VITA tax site manager. He is a certified VITA tax preparer and a Certified Application Counselor for the Affordable Care Act. 

 

 

 

 

 

Taylor De La Peña, Program Coordinator, has a degree in Spanish and English from Villanova University. In 2016 she served as an Augustinian Volunteer in northern Peru, where she taught computer and English classes. Taylor coordinates Programa Adelante, Ceiba's asset-building program that helps immigrants save for immigration related expenses. She is a certified VITA tax preparer. 

 

 

 

 

Patrice Davison, Program Coordinator, has a bachelors degree from Arizona State University in Global Studies with minors in Justice Studies and Spanish and certificates in Human Rights and Latin America studies.  She served for two years in the Peace Corps in Ecuador from 2015-2017 as an English Teacher and Trainer.  She is currently pursuing her Masters in Public Administration from Rutgers University-Camden.  Patrice coordinates the program working with the Mexican Consulate to provide information about services and financial literacy to the community. She is a certified VITA tax preparer
